AGP Changes its Name to premier apartment living

What happens when you run yourself into the ground, and any halfway decent internet search terms up nothing but bad information about your managment style? Change your name from AGP reality to premier apartment living. Interesting feedback from our friends at the local university (Case). So it looks like Alan and Premier Apartment Living is on a Case blacklist.
Hello, I thought you would like to know that AGP Realty has changed its name to Premier Apartment Living, and the new website is http://www.premierapartmentliving.com Cheers,
and a follow-up to her note
Myself and many other students at Case have had some troubles with him. The law school and med school are actually now proactively warning their students against renting from him. [removed legal stuff comment, lets just say she is still trying to get justice] I really wish that I had come across your blog before renting!
Sad but not surprised to see that Alan has not changed his ways. Premier Apartment Living Steals

continued Good fight

If you find this page, then hopeful its non-biased truth will help you avoid what happened to us. It has now been years. Years since I find out that a landlord, in Ohio, can pretty much keep a down payment and ignore the law. Years since I found out that if you take him to small claims . . he still doesn't need to pay (according to other reviews online). The depressing thing is that it was over a 1,000 dollars. He yelled at my wife. He told us how poor he was "recession" excuse. Yet he just kept the money. He didn't even bother to provide the itemized list. Right now (since last month) there is a barrage of positive reviews about the site. I'm not sure who is writing them. Could be real persons still at AGP could be fake. Maybe Alan will start paying deposits. I have no way to tell. Yet he has not contacted me.

next step

Perhaps if we get enough people, we could do a class action lawsuit.

I'm thinking that a deposit kept unlawfully will still earn the required interest.

Regardless MSNBC has an article about slimy landords. Different breed than AP.

My Wife Gets ahold of Alan Pearlman

So my wife called Alan Pearlman at home. . .and got a hold of him. He yelled at my wife for asking for her deposit/money.

1) He is annoyed about my negative review on Apartments.com
2) he states that he did us a FAVOR by letting us Sublease (I see it as he made us sublease vs. renting per the Ohio law).
3) he told my wife that he is out of money, his business is bad. . .blah blah blah.

My thoughts:

A deposit is not a cash flow, it isn't to be used to keep your business going. It is suppose to stay in an account and earn interest!!

I didn't violate the laws of Ohio. . .I did everything by the book. I didn't try to not pay ALAN when I LOST MY FREAKING JOB. . .

MAYOR

Just sent a letter to the Mayor of Shaker Heights.

After that I will start blasting news outlets. Who knows if anyone will listen, but it can't hurt. I can't give up without a fight. . .

Lawyer rejected

Lawyers say "ha ha ha ha ha, take a hike" on this one. . .

Man, if you are a landlord I can see why it is so tempting to steal. I can't go to Small Claims (I'm in IL now plus I have read he plays dirty in small claims, keeps stretching it on until you give up).
