next step

Perhaps if we get enough people, we could do a class action lawsuit.

I'm thinking that a deposit kept unlawfully will still earn the required interest.

Regardless MSNBC has an article about slimy landords. Different breed than AP.

He is a slimy landlord. He just nickels and dimes you to steal as much of your deposit that he can. He just tried to charge me for a 1.5cm x 1.5cm "dent on the fridge that you can't even see and would easily fall under the "normal wear and tear" clause of a 2 years lease. I don't think a class action would work, but I think there are enough unhappy ex-tenants that we could probably make sure he loses his standing with Shaker Heights as well as Cleveland Heights business associations and housing authorities...

If you can contact me in the next 48 hours (earlier is better) I would appreciate it. I am a law student and Alan is trying to get $3000 worth of damages from me. I am interested in other similar reports regarding Alan.
